I think $143,000 is double the veloce price of $75k

this is too high on a unknown quantity
it will end up like the c4 just too pricey and they cant sell them
the c4 should be $80- 90k and the giulia v6 $110-120k
just my opinion until the market takes it up the competition at $150on road
is huge porsche, maserati, tesla, bmw m2 and 3,mercedes c63, pretty much anything
2x mustangs etc
silly move, they should put one in the bathurst 12 hr to prove its value
too late no maseratis only 1 ferrari its a german field its the Bathurstz zwelf hor

The Veloce seems pretty good value for money at $72K + ORC.

My 159 V6 was over $80K + ORC back in 2009 - a hell of a lot of money back then.  The new Giulia will be a far better car than the 159.  Cars just keep on getting better and more affordable!

We really do get screwed on import and luxury car duties... (the QV is only US$80k in the States - or about A$105k)

Now:    2002 156 GTA
            1981 GTV
Before: 1999 156 V6 Q-auto
            2001 156 V6 (sadly cremated)

Or around AU$96k without the local and state taxes in the USA.

The LCT in AU on the QV is approx $20,000.  After you take off duty of 5%(?) and the GST the landed cost of that QV in AU is $105k. Therefore, Alfa Romeo are charging $9k to ship it here.

Well that is my back of a scrap paper calculation.

Well if that video is anything to go by, sometime this year I'm going to put my sunday best on, drop down to the local dealership, and mention I've just come into some money and am looking for a new toy . . . . . just to get a test drive . . . .

Yeah, that's awful, that's terrible . . . . .like I'm going to be the only one to try and get away with it . . . .I think not!  8)

Great vid. I want one.

But at that price, I'm stuck with the quirky alfetta. But that ain't so bad.
Now:
'84 GTV
'12 Nissan Navara D22

Then:
'83 Giulietta ('01-'06)

Great vid, funny he has the same concerns that I had price ,price ,price and oh unknown quantity
I wonder if it was the same price as Australia ie $104k US
would he still say its worth every penny
ill stay with my old GTV for now, still love a manual
and if I want a change for something more racey I take the air cleaner off
long live the gorgeous sound of a carburettor at full bore

Overall still a pretty positive review - his inability to give a definitive verdict seems largely because (as he suggests) 6 flying laps weren't enough for him to get properly acquainted and truly push it to the limits.

I'm quite keen to see a local review of the 200kW turbo-petrol 2L Veloce, as that is the one i will have the most realistic chance of being able to purchase (2nd hand!) in the next five years.

The first 100 Giulia QVs to be sent to Australia have been all spoken for.
The Alfa Romeo heritage "rinascimento" (renaissance) continues in each and every new model...the first "rinascimento" being 1915.
