Up for regrettable sale is my Alfa Romeo Alfasud race car.  Fondly known as the Flying Pizza Box, it was built as a Sports Sedan and raced in Italian Challenge, hillclimbs, 6 hour team races and Sports Sedan. We moved house and don't have the room to keep it any more. It has not been on the track for 10 years, been stored under cover, hence will need preparation to get race ready.

The 1.7L 16V supercharged (supercharger is a Toyota SC14) engine has just undergone a complete rebuild with new forged pistons, o-ringed and worked heads (copper head gaskets) by Vince Rigoli. produces ~180HP at the front wheels on Rigoli's dyno at a modest 8psi boost, very reliable, powerful, well sorted & tuned engine (Haltech computer). Engine is currently out of the car, just picked it up (rebuild cost $5300). Car weight is about 850kg.

Suspension:
- new coil overs with adjustable tops were fitted for last race meeting, so are almost new.
- Fully rose-jointed front end by AHMotorsports in UK.
- Anti-dive front crossmember
- King springs all round

Gearbox is a 1.2L close ratio 5 speed box with "Phantom Grip" limited slip diff from USA

Custom built exhaust system

Extensive steel roll cage picks up all points of suspension system

Brakes:
- 6 disc system utilises inner Alfasud brakes and outer Alfa33 brakes at the same time on the front, stops extremely well.
- standard Sud rear discs with adjustable limit valve

Wheels:
3 x Simmons 15 x 10 (front)
5 x three piece 13 x 9 (rear), have run these on front in the past as well.

4 x transport wheels for when car's on trailer

Best time at Eastern Creek GP (SMP) circuit is 1:48.9.

Custom built trailer is included in sale and has 4 new LT tyres, registered til August 2018.

Spare block and gearbox included along with misc spares. All fibreglass moulds for guards, bumper bars and spoiler included in sale. Front spoiler was damaged in last race incident (going into kitty litter), it's intact but needs repair.

It has a CAMS log book, #N7818, it was issued on 15/6/92. I built it with 2 friends (mechanics) in 1992, originally fairly standard and slowly morphed into what it is today.

I've raced it at Eastern Creek, Bathurst, Oran Park, Amaroo Park & Wakefield Park in NSW and Winton in Victoria. Lots of fun to drive!

Please message me with any questions or if you'd like to have a look, I'm sure there's stuff I've forgotten to include!  Car is located in Seven Hills NSW. Pics of car on trailer are recent (it's a bit dusty), racing pics are obviously older.

$8500 ono

Cheers, Jason.

Price dropped to $9,500.  The engine alone is worth more...
