Hi guys,

Just rewired my 75 ts track car by throwing the old chooks nest in the bin and making my own.  I am just stuck on the tacho in my original cluster.  I only want the tacho to work as I have all my own gauges but cannot find TS specific info/wiring diagram, I have followed the info I have for 1.8 2.0 and v6 and connected rev counter signal , common + and ground but no dice! My Ts cluster has more plugs (as single white/black and as 3 pin red/green /yellow.

Any ideas or Ts diagrams anyone could help me with would be awesome!  Craigs place n the simp dont gave it.

Thanks in advance!,

Luke

All good, worked it out. Abandoned the original connectors and just connectef power earth and tacho signal directly to the tacho unit.

Happy New Year!!

Not TS tacho related but for the 3.0 V6 nevertheless.

In the process of calibrating the tacho.  Just now noticed ALL images of the 75 Tacho in the workshop manual appear to have the needle sitting at 500rpm!  Is this just some artistic licence taken by the producers of the manual or does the 75 actually have the tacho displaying 500rpm with the ignition off?
The tacho mechanical stop is internal to the gauge.  In lieu of having an adjustable stop act directly on the needle, the needle bush a simple press fit on the armature shaft allowing easy "zero" adjustment.

Should it read "0" rpm or "500" rpm as shown in the manual?

Ive got 3 tachos here all with a needle stopper stopping it at 500rpm. They are all Ts tachos.

Thanks Luke.  I'll reset the needle to 500rpm and adjust the calibration pot accordingly.
