Hi all,
Just new to forum and was wondering if anyone knows about the new laws for historic plates.

I've got an E30 BMW, but I'm not member of the owners club, do you think I can get a historic plate through the alfa club for it?

Might be a question for Mr Wise, but interested to hear if anyone is in a similar situation

Firstly it must have a build date of 12/90 or later (25 year olds)
Then you need a roadworthy certificate
Finally memebership of a car club eg AROCA

Do a search on the forum and there is a detailed flowchart of the CP process and to inform you the little important steps such as filing the necessary forms in a specific manner.

He is in Sydney, no point in posting details of the Victorian Club Permit Scheme.

Dr1600 it might be best you contact your division of AROCA to find out laws specific to NSW.

Everything you need to know here http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roads/registration/get-nsw-registration/historic-vehicles/index.html

Basic information - vehicle must be over thirty years of age, as close as possible to original, introduction of 60 day log books late last year. Must be a member of a RMS registered club and that's it.
