2 year trial of a 60 days per year general use scheme for historic rego:

"from October 1, historic-plated motorcycles and cars under 3.5 tonnes will be allocated 60 days of general use each year outside of club meetings."

Sounds great- for those already on heritage plates, is there any thing else to do to participate in the trial? Or   Do I just start a log book on 1st October?

Apparently it will be an opt in trial, it's not replacing the current H plate system just yet.
Contact the club or RMS if you'd like to switch over to the logbook system.
I haven't seen the proposed rego cost for the trial (it was only announced yesterday, more info coming today I think) but I'm hoping it's not too much more than the current system.

Transferred to the new scheme today - no fee to transfer. Also did rego renewal , same $51 fee
