are wobble bolts legal for track competitions eg sprints, hill climbs etc?

With many cars are 100 compared to Alfa common 98 diameters it would increase the possibilities of getting lightened rims.

Any ideas?

Make sure that the spigot of the wheel is a good fit on the hub of the car, as that will centre it, then try the wobble bolts on the road and see if they keep coming loose, the bolts stay tight by the friction of the taper, steel wheels have less taper area for the bolts than alloy wheels and in my experience, steel wheels are more prone to loosening off.
I don't know if its legal to use wobbly bolts at a sprint meeting, you would have to ask CAMS to see what they say.
The way that the clamping of the taper is offset might mean its prone to loosening off.
If you run them at a Sprint meeting and a wheel falls off through turn 1 at Phillip Island, the result could be horrendous, Colin.
