Thinking of buying a Mito QV 2014.

I recently drove a 2014 QV Mito and thinking of buying it. It has done very low kilometres.
The only thing I would change on it would be to upgrade the radio area to the new Uconnec. Would it be difficult to have this done?
And also looking at any comments good or bad about the MITO.

Helola, I drove a QV Mito with 6 speed transmission this week and was impressed with the package. Don't know that I would bother with upgrading the radio but that depend on what you want the radio to do. I was mildly surprised that I still had good reception well outside the usual car radio range when static normally takes over.
I particularly liked the 6-speed transmission and the torque down low from the 1.4 motor. Certainly no shortage of performance from this 'small' Alfa. Steering a little heavier than I expected, or am used to but not unduly so. Creature comforts good with lots of technology and lights to have fun with. I didn't have the car long enough to try or get used to the D.N.A. options so can't offer a view of this feature.
If you are not used to all the bells and whistles from today's cars it may take a bit of getting used to but could be fun to make use of all that the Mito offers.

Hi Helola,
I bought a Mito QV towards the end of 2013.  It has the standard radio (i.e. not the UConnect thing).  I hardly listen to the radio, I have an iPod permanently plugged into the USB port.  This is more because I detest commercial radio.  I bought the TomTom from eBay that links with the Blue&Me, all good so far.

I love the car, I drive it pretty much everyday.  I used to drive a 156GTA daily and don't miss the extra horses, probably because the car is so much lighter.

I wrote an article for the magazine here in Vic about the car I'll add the pics to it and attach it to another reply.

BTW, the car cannot be a 2014 model without the UConnect, AFAIK all the new models have it.  What you might have is an older model that was first registered this year.  From what I can see on Carsales, there is one 2014 QV listed, it's black and in NSW.

Here's the article (as submitted to the editor, might still have typos).  I placed the pics this morning without much care, so if they're in the wrong place I apologise.

Cheers

I had a lend of a MiTo QV a few years ago for the 6 hour relay as a Safety car, had it for 3 days, thought it was great after not having a high opinion of it without driving it.
Drove it up from Lance Dixon's in Doncaster to Benalla, doing about 200 kilometres, driving with the excellent cruise control, admittedly i drove like a pensioner in a Camry, but it took 10 litres when i filled it up, thats 5 litres per 100 kilometres, the computer readout kept telling me 5 litres per 100 kilometres, but i didn't beleive it.
Then i drove through Benalla township with the car in 6th gear at 40 kilometres per hour and it pulled along in top gear without grumbling.
Has an excellent pedal arrangement for heeling and toeing, with room next to the clutch for your foot and a wide footrest, unlike the manual Giulietta i drove a few month's ago.
Unless you needed a larger family car for kids, the MiTo would be an excellent choice of car and you could join the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and have even more fun, Colin.

Thank you all for your opinions/article. The Mito Qv may just be perfect for a me, a small female 5 ft frame who loves a bit of power and playfulness. 😄
