Hi Queensland Alfa Club Members,

So I have been in Queensland for my first week and was so happy my 33 arrived here safe and sound after transporting her here from Melbourne, but today while at work in Brisbane a hailstorm hit.

This is the damage caused:
- Rear windscreen completely smashed in
- Drivers side mirror smashed
- Dinted bonnet
- Broken antenna
- damage to parcel shelf and speakers

I hope no one else got damage from the storm!

I have to sort out repairs very soon, does anyone know a place I could possibly get some spare parts for a 1988 Alfa 33?

Cheers,

Marisa

Hi Marisa,

So sorry to hear about your 33

We haven't had a hail storm like that in the CBD and surrounds for some years so unfortunate timing on your relocation

You could try Chris Lucas at CL Prestige in Albion he has a large range of new and used items for a wide range of Alfas and runs a pretty good panel shop

I am so glad my GTA was at home in the garage

All the best

Thanks Wantok  :)

I just gave them a call they are going to look for me. I have called glass companies too but no one knows if they can source the correct glass for the 33

Sorry to hear that Marissa. Yeah that storm was a cracker. Wrecked a friend's 156 too :(

Do either of these screens suit your car? Coopers Plains is a south western suburb about 10km out from the cbd

There's a mobile mob that re-glass car mirrors - http://www.mirrors4cars.com.au/
I haven't used them, but have seen them around (bookmarked them as a "just in case"). Might be worth looking at if you can't find a clean mirror assembly or yours are colour coded.

Thanks for all the help and advice guys, the 33 has been fixed and is back on the road thanks to the guys at CL Prestige Albion  ;D They had a windscreen, mirror and were able to clean the car and do a service for me, she now runs even better too!
