How Long:

3 to 4 hours (depending on how long the stop at teh Scarborough Hotel is)

Why:
It'd be nice to meet you Sydney guys, hang out, talk about Alfa Romeo's + we have a special guest all the way from Melbz ... Gorgeous Georgeā„¢ .. aka eorgieGeorgie from Billy Goat Detailing

How much:
Fill your tanks just in case (From Sydney GPO it's about 130km round trip) + bring some $'s for coffee/beer/lunch etc

Other:
Post here to this thread if you're coming & how many people you'll be with. It's mostly so I can reserve one of the tables outside under the shaded roofs looking out to the ocean. It's a minimum of 6 to reserve a table. Otherwise it's a crap shoot to try an find enough chairs to sit altogether or we'll have to sit inside which is a shame for a such a beautiful position.

So yeah .. let's go for a drive, meet up & enjoy scenic roads & a nice place to stop & chinwag. George will be in Sydney on his way to Melbourne from BrisVegas. Francois (Black GT) & Myself (Red GTV) will be attending for sure rain hail or shine. I'll announce to this thread a meeting point which will be on the southern side of Sydney (probably in the Shire area). It's 10am sharp ... not to early but it gives us enough time to get on the roads through the Royal National Park before it's too busy & also early enough to our lunch destination before it's too full for parking etc. The roads are funny, twisty, scenic & free of traffic lights. It's not a race .. we think it'd be just a nice idea to be part of an Alfa Romeo convoy, a Squadra if you will.

For specifics where we will be heading: we'll turn left off the Princes Hwy onto Farnell Ave heading to Audley. There's a gate there with a fee but if you tell the ranger you're not stopping in the Park and heading to Wollongong then there is no fee. This road becomes Sir Bertram Stevens Drive & is a real treat for the twisty bits and scenic roads. Lots of motorbikes & the odd cyclist & quite a few car enthusiasts ... have fun but take it easy as there are sometimes cops & a lot of the corners are blind. This follows on to Standwell Tops & Lady Wakehurst Drive where we might stop & regroup if some have been caught up by slower traffic - there's an ice cream van & it's a lookout where the hang gliders & parasail devotee's take off. We'll head off and down into Stanwell Park where it follows through to Lawrence Hargrave Drive taking us over the stunning sea bridge and the northern suburbs of Wollongong like Coalcliff & Scarborough. The Scarborough Hotel is unmissable & whilst we'll have a table you'll be able to order at the counter or bar & they'll bring the food to you (so there's no bill squabling) and we can all decide to eat or drink whatever we like or not if we're just happy to shoot the breeze & have a coffee. There's a massive garden leading out onto the cliff front

Most of us will be heading back the same way, no fuss for the return. Some may like to go further south before coming back up Bulli Pass & onto the freeway. Some of us might be too drunk and will have to call our wives or mum's. Doesn't matter - stay for 5 minutes of 4 hours - whatever takes your fancy. Bring your Mrs., kids, dog or friends. All are welcome, the more the merrier. Just post here so we have an idea for numbers & so we can reserve a big enough table/s.

Come along, let's have fun & put names/cars to faces :D  ... & let's show our southern cousin George a warm welcome & some of our fine Alfa's old or new. For a small fee George might be available for signing autograph's, tee shirt signings, photo-op's etc but there will be security, so no touching unless he agrees up front.
