Hi

Does anyone know if you can still get from anywhere a steering rack seal kit for a 1975 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GT Coupe 1.8?

Look on Ebay worldwide, can still get them for Alfasuds and 33's, most likely still for Alfetta's, if not you could get a generic one from Repco, Colin.

If that fails, you could always try the ZF Agent in West Australia, its all Genuine ZF parts and expensive, Colin.

Colco your advice paid off.  Spoke to Adrian from ZF Australia who was very helpful.  He provided me the attachment which outlines the parts that will need to be replaced which basically are a couple of "O" rings and a couple of bearings which he has advised you can purchase from CBC Bearings or the like.  Still have to go and see them but looking hopeful.  The attachment has the technical info and the dimensions of these parts so they can be matched.

The ZF steering racks and others have open bearings that are [not] lubricated by the rack grease, so when you get a new bearing get a sealed one, Colin.
