Good news and bad news for Queenslanders at the conclusion of this weekend's VRA East Coast Challenge.

The good news is that Queensland's Andrew Wilson was the individual race meeting champion, having won three of the four races. New South Welshmen Alfio Musemici and Bill Magoffin took out second and third. Overall though NSW retained the ECC state of origin trophy, based on accumulated points throughout the race field. Well done to all who took part.

On behalf of AROCA Qld a huge thanks must go out the Veloce Racing Association for bringing the East Coast Challenge to our fair state and bringing 20 magnificent Alfas north of the border.

I personally had a superb weekend racing my brother's Alfasud Sprint, battling it out in the last third of the pack and having a ball. With bit more HP in the Sud we might give the mid pack a push in the 2014 ECC. Can't wait!
