AROCA on Masterchef
« on: July 14, 2013, 10:52:46 PM »
After months of media embargo and confidentiality, a media release from the office of the Premier Of Victoria has publicly announced the Masterchef episode featuring AROCA and its members will be televised this coming week.

It is part of Masterchef's theme this week, "Fast Food Week"

See: http://www.premier.vic.gov.au/media-centre/media-releases/7320-food-wine-scenic-coastlines-and-an-alfa-romeo-masterchef-visits-the-mornington-peninsula.html

The episode will go to air on Tuesday 16th July at 7.30pm on Channel 10.

Regardless of how much airtime we get on the actual episode, this will be a fantastic promotion and exposure for both the Alfa Romeo marque and of course our Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Australia!!   ;D ;D

i noticed last nights episode has a 'thanks' to Alfa Romeo in the credits (although the Crysler 300C) was the only car I saw in the episode.

must be a prelude to tomorrow.

Congratulations to everyone who attended. The episode worked really well, and was heavily interwoven with ads for the Giulietta. Loved it!

Just got back from a little Club gathering at our monthly meeting spot to watch the episode with other members on the big screen.

What great promo and exposure for Alfa Romeo and the Club!

Big thanks must go to AROCA Vic Public Relations Officer Greg Briggs who coordinated the day on behalf of the Club.  Who could have imagined being able to get 50 Alfas and their drivers in the middle of the week?  Greg had to arrange the emails out, the emails back (I can come, sorry I can't come now, can I bring a friend), and the change of date.  Well done, Greg!

The biggest thanks must go to Fiat Chrysler Australia for thinking to include the Club in this episode!

I missed the episode, hoping I'll be able to catch up on the internets!

Nice little photo gallery here: http://www.masterchef.com.au/alfa-romeo-on-masterchef.htm

Quote: "This challenge tests the contestant's navigation and cooking skills. They enjoyed the winding roads of the Mornington Peninsula thanks to the Giulietta’s comfortable yet sporty suspension."

Well done AROCA Vic...it was great to watch, best part of the show! I can actually now say I watched my first Masterchef show...boy were those first 45mins excruciating until the Alfa's rolled up to steal the limelight! Pity the cars weren't shown a little more, definitely some amazing examples of some great cars...awesome!

Good to see AROCA and its members.  Great to see the promo for Alfa in general.

But MasterChef seems to be a show where there are lots of crying going on, not a lot of cooking.

I didn't get the time to watch the show.  I was in the garage fixing my Alfa!!!

Well done Greg for coordinating and corralling 50 AROCA members and their cars on a weekday.   Even when there's free food on offer its not the easist task :).

I thoroughly enjoyed watching it on the internet, watched the first ten minutes and then fast forwarded to where the club cars/members were involved!  What an incredible showcase for Alfa Romeo, must have cost Fiat-Chrysler a bunch.  Product placement was a little nauseating early on...

Well done to Greg for organising, great outcome.

This sort of exposure would never have happened under the ATECO banner, what a resurrection of the brand in this country of late, just highlights how ATECO where so bad, just after making a quick buck.

Caught this by chance last night. Quite a PR coup for a car club. Well done.
