I just happened to go past my local Alfa workshop on my way home from work (like most nights) and what did I see?

The Tipo 33 SC12 had a bit of minor panel damage after it's foray on Sunday at the island. A few basic repairs were required to get it back on the track for the sports car race this weekend at the Grand Prix, and our club sponsors are always eager to help out.

This may be the only Alfa-Mitsubishi Prototipo sports ute in existence.  Hopefully the added downforce will rid the ute of the awful wheelspin in top gear?

Is this the start of the new Alfa-Chrysler Motorsport partnership given the dealership is in full swing.

I put together a little footage that I took on the weekend.  If you watch closely, you'll see Alfas in the Group A/C, Group Sa/b, Group Sc, and the sports car race.  The little Canon s95 does a pretty decent job of sound capture so you get a sense of what it's like to be there - the aural experience is unbelievable.

A brief highlight of Gp S race 2.

Or perhaps (?) Alfetta turns in on Mustang.....either way, two bent cars

Mustang darted to the right (outside) initially then decided to go left (inside) with little room to undertake.  Mustang could have waited a second out of the corner to go as it knows it has power over the poor little 2L.

Mustang driver was found at fault and fined.

Neil,

Nothing like eyes in the back of your head. Was that Danny Gatto's car ???

There was also the white alfetta on the outside turning in, the red/black alfetta had no where to go really.

My race 1 clip.

1) the urge to pass the 3L Porsche and 3.5L Morgan and cold tyres got the better of me at Lukey
2) Neil got punted
3) How aggressive are some of the drivings?
