Another busy weekend with many options 9-10 March

Phillip Island Historics is always a favorite.  Lots of Historic cars including the real Bathurst originals,Group S etc

Top gear Australia at Sydney Motorsport Park ( Eastern Creek)

Or Clarence Classic rally ,starting in Grafton NSW

Time to flip a coin and select  an event

Phillip Island is THE ONLY place you will hear and see Sportscar World Championship winning Alfa T33-12 flat12 and Matra V12 Le Mans cars for the first time in Australia ever.
These pair really do make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up! Classic 11,000 rpm multi cylinder racing engines.....SOOOO much better than the generic wail of modern F1. A real treat for all your senses.

Ok,,so most of you will be at Phillip Island

For those of you who might be heading Top Gear Australia at Eastern Creek this weekend (Sydney Motorsport Park )

Last night (Wed) ),I attended the officials brief of this event.

Wow,for those attending,,get ready for some action, including Mark Webber attempting to get the SMP lap record in an 07 REAL formula 1 car
Plus Touring Car Masters races + Radicals,Plus, some race between Mark Webber in the Formula 1 07 race car versus Casey Stoner on a GP Bike, versus Lowndes in a V8 supercar.
Then he mentioned something about Lowndes Raceing a GP bike versus Stoner in a V8supercar.
Plus some shitboxes playing soccer
This event will be broadcasted by the BBC television network at some stage
There was heaps of other events on the 2 days,,so whoever attends, will see action aplenty.
Upon leaving,,noticed in the garage some GP bikes,a Top fueler, that will be doing runs up the main striaght, and the biggest earthmoving tractor, that will be in some race.
And yes,,Clarkson + May will be there doing their usual stuff.

So which event did i choose
Im commited to the rally around Grafton area for 2500 in my 105 2 litre rally car
A few weeks ago,the place was flooded

Whatever event you choose,,enjoy it
And yes,I will miss not being at Phillip Island this year, and will miss the swamp house BBQs on Friday + Sat nights
For those at PI,talk to Bill Magoffin for the swamp house address, take some meat n sausages and beverage, and have a great BBQ
WHY ARE THERE 3 FANTASTIC EVENTS ON THE SAME WEEKEND = GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

The Queenslanders are off to Morgan Park, Warwick for round 1 of the B Series Super Sprints.

18 Alfas entered but 2 are busted so we'll have 16 on track. Plus the club has a day run of spectators  coming down from Brisbane on Sunday.

Should be a ripper weekend!
