Title: Hello from Canberra
Post by: LukeC on December 18, 2012, 08:08:57 AM
Hi Everyone

I have been around Alfas for 25 odd years since I caught the desease in my early 20's. I used to be quite active in the Queenland club in the late 80's and early 90's before moving to Canberra.

After a long period without an Alfa (but helping a good friend with his historic race Alfas), I was lucky to come accross the perfect project for me. A 75 T-S with some really good bits that had been shunted in the rear (I actually bought it off an old customer of mine from QLD) and a one owner '85 GTV4 with virtually no rust or having ever suffered any type of major shunt (but a little tired).

I have completed the full running gear swap (including the power steer, but no heavy A/C). The car is for track days and just general fun drives. Hope to meet a few people at track days. I haven't registered it yet, but intend to in the new year. Later on engine (to around the 180 bhp mark) and body.

Cheers,

Luke Clayton

Welcome back to Alfa ownership.  You are going to have lots of fun.

There is an active Canberra Chapter and they often are involved in various activities Auto Italia including drives to regional Victoria etc.

Cheers
