Title: New to the Alfa club.
Post by: sudonthemend on December 09, 2012, 08:45:58 PM
Hi there, :)
im new to the alfa club. I recently just bought a 1983 Alfasud Ti QV. Its not in the greatest of shape, but that will soon change. Im looking for sud spares and wonder if anybody can point me in the right direction?? (melb S.E.) ;)
I bought the car with the idea of restoring it over the next five years. :-\ Dont know much about the suds but i am learning quickly thanks to the net. I dont know what i have got myself into because everytime i mention it to friends they all laugh and say goodluck???
I have been looking for a sud for the last 5 years as my dad used to have one years ago, so finally got my hands on one.

Well just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
All help no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers shane

Hello there sudonthemend, welcome to Alfa Romeo ownership, don't worry what all the normal people say about your car, they just don't understand, brother owned twincarb Sud for 28 years and i did the work on it, actually drove it for 3 years until he wanted it back, and gee i miss it, one of my favourite Alfa Romeo's of all time, can be quite reliable if you look after it, not many parts around now, not sold new for 28 years, Alfa Romeo who sold them in the old days no longer around, welcome to the Forum, keep those questions coming, Colin.

Greetings sudonthemend.

Keep an eye out on the forum as we well be having another popular Sud/33 Register Night in Melbourne at one of the Alfa specialists workshops.  Always a good Friday night.

Bit of fun but more importantly a great chance to look at some display cars and speak to people who have done the work and get some correct advice.

Cheers
