Title: What Was On Today?
Post by: Beatle on April 01, 2012, 08:10:54 PM
I was on the F3 heading south (to pick up my 'new' 90) and saw a bunch of Alfas, Ferraris and other Italians heading south.  Was this an AROCA cruise?

At a guess I think it was the Veloce Racing Association to Thirroul.

Certainly the Alfa's were in fine company however no it wasn't an AROCA drive ... and unless the the VRA guys have been able to commandeer the F3 freeway as a much needed Sydney race track ... I don't think so.

Having said that the drive north every afternoon from 3pm to 7pm on the F3 is becoming a race track for the daily communters !

On the other hand .. a drive to Thirroul via the Royal National Park and on to the 'new' Sea Cliff Brdige is a great drive ... it is a fair distance from the F3 which goes from Sydney to Newcastle ... however if I had the opportunity to drive an F430 ( after all what's a 4 and 0 between friends? ) on either road I wouldn't knock it back  :)

Tony Harriot posted a message on the VRA website about the arts festival at Thirroul and suggested that those at a loose end to make their way down. Obviously it seems there was a few and a great day for it.
