Is it eligible for Trofeo?
absolutely, cos if it is a genuine Trofeo car it is still a boxer motor AND it's what the Trofeo comp was named after
I'll be happy to import it into Oz if anyone wants to buy it :)
QuoteNew boxer motor with 8 ventiles
192 PS
whoa - an 8-valve motor pushing out like 180hp! That would be sweet. That's in the territory of what Bob Whitehouse in Queensland produces from his engines. People wonder how he can win the club championship and beat all the Nord race-cars in queensland in his "Stealth" sprint.
I've heard of this "Stealth" sprint - does anyone have photo's/details?
Here's some pics Bob sent me a while ago.
The basic details as follows:
Engine:
Disp. 1600 cc
C/R 10.8
Exhaust: 2.5" dia. cross over type
HP; 165 Approx.
Carburettors: Weber 44 Idf
Front brakes: vented alfa series 3 / 33
Brake pads: ferodo f3000 racing
Wheels: Performance superlite: 13x7
Tyres: Advans
I'm hoping Bob will jump on the forum soon and tell us a bit more.
Edit: sorry that engine information is out of date - Bob has built a new engine 1800cc!
That's fantastic - I love the Group C flairs. What a tough, no-nonsense looking collection of race cars. They all have a "we're here to race, not look pretty" attitude.....
Love the opposite lock on the 105 in the top pic
Speaking of Stealth Bomber Alfa's. I can't quite make out if it is Alan Goodall or the Stig driving
Hey....Alan did spend some time in UK....was he the Black Stig? They mysteriously replaced him with the white one....was it around the same time he returned to Oz??
The black 75 looks like a weapon - it's amazing how many radical 75's there are O/S.
