Title: Tasmanian GTV6
Post by: AlexR on May 23, 2011, 12:31:49 PM
G'day all,

Thought I'd do the customary thing and introduce myself to this fine board.
I live in Hobart and drive a silver '85 GTV6. 146,000kms, according to the books. She's got some Koni Yellows and uprated rear springs. Torsion bars are next on the list. It was a dealer special car, which came with body colored bumpers and Momo interior trimmings, to name a few small differences.

This is number 2 for me, as my first car ('83 GTV6) was stolen 3 weeks into my ownership. She has since gone on to better hands. Must say, the isostatic linkage really is a massive improvement on the later cars.
As with most, it's a constant work in progress. Couldn't drive anything else, though.

Look forward to delving into miscellaneous Alfa ramblings.

Alex.

Welcome to this great Forum and a special welcome to GTV6 ownership. A fabulous car in a big field of superb Alfa cars.

Naturally being the owner of a very special one, (and because I am biased beyond help) I would say, the best "commercial" vehicle Alfa ever made for the bucks.

Happy tinkering and enjoy those revs.
