I wonder if they're going to remove the 2.2?  I'm eager for news of a v6 - will the next GTA be a twin turbo?

I heard (after I'd put this news in the Allegerita) that Australia won't be getting this engine, or the new diesel, as both are designed for tax brackets in Europe only.

So expect them in about 6 months I reckon.

Interestingly reading the spec sheet it appears the 1750 turbo engine is going back to a belt driven engine not a chain driven engine . I don't know whether this is a step backwards or forwards.

I understand that this engine is not a Holden block as that link has now been closed off.

The new engine is from Fiat Powertrain Technology who are the suppliers now.

Don't know about any future Chrysler 6's or 8's.  Interesting mix of product.

Regards.
