Hi all,
Had my 159ti V6 3.2 in for its first (15,000km service) at Lance Dixon in Doncaster during the week.
I came away completely satisfied with the experience.
- I received 2 calls during the day, updating me on what needed to be done and how the work was progessing.
- The car was ready on time.
- When I collected the car, Josh Delahunt (Service Manager) spent considerable time explaining the work carried out and answering my questions, in considerable detail.
- Josh provided valuable additional info on the car, regarding safelty and performance optimisation.
- Best of all, a software update was installed for the auto transmission. It now shifts more smoothly and the issue of double shifting at close to redline (in sequential mode) has been eliminated.
Being my first ever auto (the girlfriend factor in play), I had considered the sequential mode to be somwhat dissapointing (though auto mode was ok in city traffic).
When shifting from 1st to 2nd at high revs, the car would hold 2nd only briefly, shifting imediately to 3rd (very frustrating). This was due to my shift input occuring at about the same time the computer decided to change gear, resulting in a double gearchange.
The car now shifts only when I want it to (like a manual), providing the lovely sporting experience we asociate with an Alfa. - The only negative was that the car was not washed but I believe dealers are doing this less and less.
In summary, my first experience with the support from an Alfa dealer was excellent.
Also, 2 BMW drivers I know, when told what I paid for the service said, "Is that all?".
Cheers,
Marco.

Good to hear a satisfied customer report; usually one only hears from unhappy customers. Sure Lance Dixon will appreciate the feedback.
Good to hear a happy voice, usually the unhappy minority are the most vocal.
great to hear alfagtv100,
the new generation alfas are rock solid as good as the competition i say.
my 159 has been an absolute pleasure to own...
reliability? brilliant.
build quality? brilliant.
looks department? the competition can only wish. :)
Hi Marco,
If you don't mind me asking what was the price of the 15,000km service.
I'd also like to hear from others what the costs of their scheduled services on Alfa 159s have been
Brad
Hi Brad,
$537 including replacing the brake fluid, which was an extra I requested.
Cheers,
Marco.
Just had the 45,000 k service on my 159: $476.00, which i didn't think was to bad. 60,000k's will be the big one it will probably need new brakes & rotors. Still pretty cheap motoring for 3 years.
Cheers

I purchased a 156 from Lance Dixon 10 years ago and have been treated so well over this long period that I don't dare trade my car in for a new Alfa.
I can truly recommend them for any service matter.
I do like the 159 though now that I come to think about it.
I even have the IVIX number plate sitting at home waiting!
One day?
