Title: Sloppy spider clutch
Post by: Guzzisti on July 07, 2021, 03:09:53 PM
Hello.
2002 Spider Twin Spark.
Slowly getting extended clutch pedal travel. Clutch engages at the bottom 25% of travel.
Fluid reservoir is full and was changed within the last year/5000kms.
No fluid leakages.
Noticed increase in pedal travel about 500kms ago. Seems to be slowly getting worse.
Need new clutch plates? Any ideas?
Thank you
Guzzisti

I would first have the clutch hydraulics bled to remove any air that may be trapped in the system, If that does not resolve the issue you would need to have the Slave Cylinder inspected for leakage/wear.

If the Slave is in good working order the issue will no doubt be caused by the Master Cylinder.
