Title: 164 thermostats
Post by: mrman on July 28, 2020, 07:19:50 PM
Hi everyone

the mechanic that's doing the timing belt on my 164 has advised me to get a new thermostat and thermostat housing. does anyone know the correct thermostat + housing for a 1990 12v? have been looking around on the internet and it seems that there's a few different types. doesnt help that i dont have the car here with me to check.

he also told me to get bypass hoses (to be honest with you i have no idea what these are. might have to ring him back and ask) and a top radiator hose. so if anyone knows the best place to get these then let me know

thank you!!!!

Hi mrmn
No sure if this helps, but here is a link to IPB listing for the various variants of the 164 applicable for the cooling system.
