Title: removing cv joint from the driveshaft

Hi
Have removed the circlip from the end of the drive shaft but the axle wont tap out of the cv joint..
suggestions?

Holding CV centrally in vice, try tapping the outer casting equally, ie; first  tap and  second tap 180 degree opposite side etc (bit of wd40 around spline area should also help).

Tap the outer back onto its seat/shoulder. Wipe the circlip groove clean and inspect for burring - remedy as needed.

Use copper faced hammer to smack the central shaft through, finish with brass or copper drift once it's flush.
