Title: 2004 Alfa GT engine
Post by: gtv19 on July 12, 2019, 04:34:01 PM
I have seen some notes about the 3.2 litre engines installed in the very early GT`s. It is said that the early GT`s had the GTA V6 installed and the that the later engine is the cooking 3.2.
Can anyone attest to this please, and how would you identify the different engine types? As all would be aware the standard 3.2 provides plenty of grunt. I love mine!
Just curious,
Cheers
Laurie

Or is this the "Masterchef" version?   :)

GTA compression Ratio 10.5:1 184 kW

Engine code: 932A000

GT compression ratio 10:1 176 kW

Engine code:  936A000

So, Look at the engine number... Can't tell you about the ECU though.

Thanks Luke, I appreciate your response. By the way my reference to cooking engine relates to the old (60`s) way of naming a standard engine that might replace the hotter version used in racing. Generally after the race engine has broken (!).
my engine number is 936A000002641

Cheers and thank you
