Hi,
I am restoring a set of factory rims for my car. Does anyone know what the paint code is? If not, was it your standard silver colour or slightly darker?

Hi David,
The colour is not your usual silver, glossy powder coat like on the 16V. It's closest to Anthracite/light gunmetal.
Have just taken some shots, in the shade now, with a colour card. Don't have the code or my pantone patches at home at mo..
The first shot, 5090, is the closest to what the eye sees...
Thanks Philpot for going to all that trouble.Much appreciated.
I have sandblasted and cleaned them them and getting ready to paint.
Regards David

David, when I had the Sud's wheels blasted, rolled/ balanced and painted, I provided the factory brochure and a spare original spare wheel that had never been on a Sud or seen sunlight. The silver is flat and not a modern bright silver as Philpot said but having played on these cars for 30+ years, the factory paint fades significantly over time and they end up looking grey.
Good luck finding a paint code. Let us know if you find one!
Have a quick google/image and you'll get the idea
Tried to photo my brochure but the wheels come up brighter than in the print ...
examples:
The top image is in full sun, not std wheel silver. Note how in the shade they appear quite a lot darker/ more gunmetal grey.

Though you'd have to be really 'keen' to purchase this at $108 for the rim ( that's not too bad I hear you say..) But, wait for it ...... .....$686 for economy postage from Portugal :o
I have done the same, blast, rerolled and painted. I used VHT silver calliper paint without clear coat. I used the same paint on my sud 15 years ago and think it looks very close to the pics in those brochures.
Thanks everyone! At least when I paint them, no one will be able to tell me they are the wrong colour (as long as I don't muck it up!)
I have a few Sud brochures but have not seen one for a Ti QV before - if anyone has one spare I would be happy to buy it. If not, is there a link to one online or can you photo each oage?
