Well, what can I say, massive field for our Phillip Island sprints, we don't get as many days at the Island as we used to.  Limited to 2 a year these days.
But perhaps a record number of AROCA members entered and has to be also a record number of Alfa's too.  Around 40.  And 7 TS Cup racers.
Cone on down and do some spectating and see what Alfa's do best on the track.

Tremendous Phillip Island Sprint event, excellent field of over 80 cars, about 40 Alfa members and as many as
Alfa cars too.  The usual classics of Alfettas, 105's and 33.  Newcomers of 156 TS, 147 TS, GTA's.  And a couple of Mito QV's and 2 shiny red 4C's.
Wet at the start which means everyone drove with their brains in the helmet.  No off's and everyone actually stayed on the black stuff.  Might have had some went lawn mowing but I didn't witness any in person.  Everyone was extremely well behaved.  Wet practice and two sessions of on and off wet, drying and wet conditions.  Lunchtime saw a burst of cold cold southernly wind and rain, with water over the track.  But on resumption of the afternoon sessions, the conditions cleared and started drying up to allow an afternoon of dry track and hence fast times.  It was satisfying overall with some wet driving to keep everyone in check and then finish off with a blast in the dry and full noise.
Those to thank who ran the show:
David Floyd, Ross Flood, Alan Morrison, Colin Edwards, Evan Bottcher, Bruno Colautti, Craig Cinquegrana, Alan Hopla, Noel Goltz, Graeme Bell, Bruce Cochrane, Mandy Thompson, Alexandra Rodek, Leon Bogers and several other scrutineers and administration assistants.

Just to add, congratulations to Alan Morrison and Colin Edwards for now being CAMS qualified officials in the capacity of Club Chief and Steward ie running the show.

Next one is at Broadford with limited entries so get in early and see you on the track.
