Title: GTV 1750 - new high!
Post by: GTV-074 on May 12, 2018, 10:52:40 AM
Saw this pop up on carsales late yesterday,

https://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Alfa-Romeo-1750-1970/OAG-AD-15954054/?Cr=5

I thought the 120k was big, this has surpassed it.

Nice car, BTW. Looks real nice.

Cheers.

Whilst not as spectacular as the above, here's some good news for Alfetta GTVs tragic,s  like Poohbah,  Bonno, Carlo Rossi  to name a few.

It would be an interesting debate , but i suspect that currently there would be less road registered   SS Bumpered  Alfetta GTV's going around than the last of 105 GTV's.

Certainly been the case at the last couple of Spectaccolo's .

I suspect you're right Paul. While it's quite possible someone will pay $135k for a 105 fact is there are literally thousands of them still driving around in many parts of the world, many in very good condition with documented histories etc. But stainless bumper 116 GTV's are getting thin on the ground all over the world.  We see more of them here in Australia than you do in most places.

And from the USofA:

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-alfa-romeo-gtv-11/?utm_source=dailymail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2018-05-15

$72,500 USD plus 5% buyers fee = $101,951 AUD.

A very nice, generally original car but a long way from perfect.  BaT can be up and down in prices of course, some over the top but generally a pretty fair reflection of the open market.  Plus there are a lot of 105 coupes sold on that site so buyers have plenty to choose from.

Great photos of stunning examples

I still miss mine terribly, my Alfetta sedan is some consolation though.
