Hi Rob,

I'm fairly sure you need a quality diagnostic tool to cancel the Service symbol when it appears.  The cheap "OBD scanner" type devices on the market won't allow you to invade the electronics far enough.

A number of people use "MultiECUscan" which is an unofficial Windows-based software from Europe that comes in free and paid versions, the paid version will allow you cancel the service symbol.

Yeh i have noticed that and I am willing to pay for it that's not a problem just there not much information or videos on YouTube you can watch i found one but it's in portuges or something but you can still kind of get the process he goes throw also I see there is a scanner you can buy called icarsoft cr pluss that works on all makes and models it's more professional use but it's $300 and I don't think for a guy like me that just does his Owen service I feel I won't really get the use out of it

Have you removed the service light with multi ecu I am leaving more to.that option as I have seen a video on how he does.it

If you have did you use multi ecu and did you find it worked fine

Pretty sure you want MES and (more importantly) the correct cables
Somebody will be along in a moment to confirm, Bazz?

Hi Robp
Find link to Youtube video on How to use OB-II scan tool. You may purchase quite inexpensive units that can be used with Android devices or stand alone units available thru e-bay. Please note that these units will not clear either the Air Bag lights or ABS. Recommend reading reviews applicable to their capability prior to purchase.
