Title: MITO owners please HELP!
Post by: alfa4fish3 on September 01, 2017, 01:01:57 PM
I have purchased a MITO 2010 cloverleaf.  now the manual transmission seems to have issues.  when standing at lights in Neutral i some times can not engage 1st, 2nd, 3rd or reverse.

I have been in dispute with the car yard regards this and they are telling me it's just a "characteristic" of the car having a "sports" gear box.

Now I know that not being able to engage a gear has nothing to do with "characteristics" of a "sports" gear box so am asking just to confirm "DOES ANY ONE ELSE HAVE A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THEIR MITO?

Looking forward to finally driving my MITO.

thank you in advance.

No, the car yard is blatantly lying to you. There is no doubt some issue with the clutch or gearbox, it could be as simple as the incorrect gearbox oil level, or worse, worn clutch components.

Is this a five or six speed box?

Maybe they topped the oil up?   ;)
