Hi David,
What a great Alfesta 2017 we've had Great roads, great company and perfect weather. The Afesta 2017 committee seemed to have organised everything to perfection. The ozzie made woollen scarfe and beanie was the icing on a marvelous cake.
We left Launceston Tuesday and drove to St Helens via Lilydale, Karoola, Pipers River, Lulworth, Bridport, Scottsdale, Derby, Gladstone and Pyengana. Much of these roads part of the upcoming Targa Tasmania. Again perfect weather. The grippy Pirelli's on the Giulietta providing drama free punting.
Today we drove to Triabunnna via Chain Of Lagoons, Elephant Pass (another Targa stage and arguably one of the best bits of road on the planet) St Marys, Fingal, Mangana, Rossarden, Avoca, Conara, Campbell Town (the Giulietta refused to pass the Campbell Town pub without a counter lunch) and Swansea.
Tomorrow we're off to Hobart for a while. More great weather forecast!!!
Colin.
Thanks Colin
If anyone is interested in what we got up to at Alfesta, have a look at the Facebook site.
