G'day folks.
I have this ongoing (left) turn indication problem with my '98 Ferrari F355 Spider since I bought it a few months ago. After replacing a few parts without success, I thought I'd change the turn relay. Lo and behold, it turned out to be an Alfa part (SDC B883 46466571). Whether this is original fitment, I haven't been able to confirm.
The symptoms are intermittent variation of flash speed (only on the left hand side) and when I put the car in reverse, the reverse lights start blinking, too ???
I'd probably end up paying $250 upwards for an "official Ferrari part" and was wondering if there was a local source for the Alfa part in Sydney (at a much cheaper price). I'm in the St George/Sutherland Shire region. Or perhaps if there is a good online source for Alfa parts?
Grazie mille!
Cheers
Ian
Hi Ian,
I'm sorry, I can't help you specifically with this relay, but a search of the Fiat EPER (Spare parts) catalogue suggests this relay 46466571 was fitted to:
1. Alfa 166 (1998 ~ 2007)
2. Lancia Kappa (1994 ~ 2001).
Fortunately, the Alfa 166 was imported into Australia, so trying to find this relay should hopefully be easy. Try contacting some of the club sponsors or on-line auctions to see if anyone is wrecking this model.
For example, ASV Europarts is wrecking one in Brisbane atm

I hope the info is helpful - Good luck with your search.

Frank.
Thanks, Frank. That's excellent news that it was fitted to the 166.
I'm not sure if I'd want to risk a relay from a wrecker. I tried to contact a local Alfa dealer, but they had none in stock and, unfortunately, couldn't quote a price. I'll keep asking around, but I might have to bite the bullet and go with a part from a Ferrari parts dealer :P
Cheers
Ian.
There's not really much risk in trying a used one. your call of course. You will be able to find one from an alfa specialist new, online if not someone locally.
Ha ha, it may be cheaper to buy the part for the F355 than for a 166!
Thanks, guys. Much appreciated. I'll keep that in mind.
Cheers
Ian.
