Title: Recommendation for a panel shop
Post by: shaggy on July 09, 2015, 07:42:22 PM
Hi Guys,

Looks like some possums or something got into the garage and have fallen onto my 105 Spider, causing a sizeable dent and taking some paint off the rear qtr panel. The top survived which is a bonus...

Anyway, I need some recommendations for a body shop that knows its way around 105s, preferably in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I have a few other things to attend to (a touch of floor rust and maybe touch up a few chips etc), might even be a good excuse for a respray... I've heard good things about Rankins, any other recommendations?

Cheers,

Dave

Try Extreme Bodyworks in Dandenong, just off Eastlink, talk to Lee Parra, knows his way around 105's, just had an Alfa Club Technical night there a few months back, Colin.

Thanks for the Tip Col, I went down and had a chat to Lee today. He sure knows his way around a 105 Spider, he even owns one. He found some really interesting stuff on my car, a much more 'colourful' history it seems.

However, looks like I'll be doing a full restoration a bit sooner than initally though, but looks like I'm in good hands

Picked the car up today, and must say that I'm really happy with the work done. Lee even went the extra mile and adjusted the drivers door and corrected the rich mixture I'd been meaning to get to for months...so definitely recommend if your looking for a panel shop
