A few months ago I purchased a very nice 2600 Sprint from Mr Jon Pike of Canberra. I am compiling a history of the car and although Jon gave me a lot of information and photos but I am guessing their may be photos out there of the car taken at shows etc. if anyone has photos or any bits of info about this car I would love to hear from them. It is currently registered 2600AR in Queensland but previously was registered:-

The above information was compiled in the 70s.
It is an early chassis number. The RHD cars that were Aussie delivered have an 854 starting their chassis number. The 825 that is your car suggests to me a factory series 1 LHD car with a Ruddspeed conversion to RHD and then imported. The Ruddspeed conversion was popular for the series 1 cars as no RHDs were made until the series 2 cars.

Marco Fazio advises "According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 825205 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint (106.02), engine series AR 00601, manufactured on the 30th June 1964 and sold on the 22nd March 1966 in Feltre, Belluno, Italy.
The body colour is grey, with red interiors. "
The car is Series 2 according to the knowledgeable but why it was built in mid 64 and not sold by the factory until March 1966 is a mystery. There is evidence it was registered in Italy until at least 69 and then it was out of registration in Victoria by 1978!

there seems to be some inconsistencies in my 2600 as well. It is mink with blue interior. According to Fazio it should be mink with red interior.
Looking for advice on the standard interior colours for White bodied 2600s? I believe black and the red/maroon. Any guidance here appreciated.

Interested also in peoples understanding of the interior colour options/combinations for White Cars.
Thinking of shifting to Black or Maroon/Red, current interior is dead and in cream doesnt seem the best contrast.

Find attached 4 x seat colour/carpet combinations obtained on the internet. Bear in mind the shade and quality of materials, together with selecting an experienced trimmer is paramount when a deciding to proceed (sample some of his previous work).

I very much doubt one and two were factory options. Those type of combos weren't used until the 70s. Maroon typically came with beige carpets.
