Have the system checked for a gas leak, an electronic gas detector will be used and screams out when it finds a leak, you will also have an oil residue where the leak is, sometimes where it is hard to find a leak the put in a colored dye in the oil or gas and the leak is easier to find, they can also put in a flouro dye that can be easily picked up by a flouro light.
Just regassing it without checking for a leak is not the way it should be done, should last a few years between regassing, Colin.

Aircon fixed on second trip to dealer. Was a bad O ring in condensor pipe join.  Guess they didnt even check for leaks on first trip. Not happy with dealer performance.

The R 134 refrigerant gas is very fine and finds leaks easily and its expensive so part of the service should include a check for leaks, if a new car has lost all its gas, it is not normal wear and tear and natural leakage, it is a leak that has been caused by a loose fitting, in the olden days, you would run the airconditioner once a week to keep all the seals lubricated, but with climate controls the airconditioner runs most of the time, even with the heater and demister to take the humidity out of the system, Colin.
