Barry Edmunds has organised a Sunday Run to the popular Daylesford Market on Sunday 28th July (2013) and the plan is for the Goldfields Chapter to meet up with Barry's group at Modern Day Bakery 146A Inglis Street, Ballan, at approximately 10.15am
For those of us wanting to drive in convoy to Ballan, we will depart from the Curtis Street (Ballarat) carpark (adjacent to Big W) at 9.30am.
From Ballan the tour will continue direct to the popular Sunday Market in Daylesford where everyone will have an hour or so to browse, hunt out any bargains and enjoy the local ambiance. Arrival time at the Sunday Market is expected to be approx. 11.30 am.
After browsing our way around the Sunday Market, at 1.00pm we will then head down the road to our lunch venue, the Daylesford Hotel, where a full menu is available. The Hotel has a good reputation, is popular with the locals and we look forward to enjoying their hospitality.
More info about the lunch venue: http://www.daylesfordhotel.com.au/
Club Members and friends with any model Alfa Romeo are encouraged to come along and enjoy the day.
For catering purposes, please confirm your interest (as Lunch bookings are essential) to either Barry on 0405 383 431 or (preferably)

Few pics from yesterday at Ballan/Daylesford. Great day!
Thanks the Barry Edmunds for one of the most relaxing but enthusiastic drives I have been on for a long time.
New roads (for me) and it was a pleasurable morning indeed. The Farmers Arms was a good choice for lunch as it is a very popular pub for locals and visitors alike.
Also thanks to Social sec. Mary, PR Greg and local member Andrew for assisting in promoting this event while Barry was overseas.
P.S. Spiderwest, thanks for the brief test drive in your 2006 spider !
Some gorgeous GTV's on display on the Ballan/Daylesford EMR.
And black is in, check these two lovely late model Alfas out on the Ballan/Daylesford EMR.
Thanks Barry for arranging a great drive to Ballan & Daylesford, via some interesting back roads. It was a fun day apart from the rain. The two 'Black Beasts' looked good hey Greg? Thanks for the photos Tony. I've added a couple more snaps :). An article about the EMR should be in the next 'Cross & Serpent' magazine.
A few more snaps of the EMR
