Title: Thinking of buying a new Giulietta
Post by: savvas on April 13, 2013, 01:48:02 PM
Hi all,

I've just joined as we're thinking of buying a new Giulietta JTDm with TCT.

I have done some research on it, and while opinions out there appear to be polarised, I'd like to get actual owner feedback if I can.

Is anyone here able to give me some feedback on their experience with this model car?

Cheers,
Savvas

Hi, I cannot comment about the diesel but the QV is a great car. I have had mine for about 2 years and still enjoy the drive to and from work each day (majority highway driving with a small component of town driving). It handles well and gives a great kick in the back when accelerating with minimal turbo lag.

Only issues which i have experienced (all repaired under waranty):

Gearknob coming lose - repaired twice now (and now supposedly a different design now)
Driver side rear vision mirror vibrating
Hatch release button stopped working
Handle to pull the hatch down pulled out from the trim
black paint between the top of the windscreen and sunroof bubbled and flaked off

My recent dilema was to either keep the car for another year or trade it on another one, as there is no other medium sized hatch that tickles my fancy, and I have happily decided to keep the Giuletta for another year.
