Title: NSW 2013 supersprint series ???
Post by: Cool Jesus on January 24, 2013, 08:43:01 AM
Hey chaps, can anyone (particular any committee members) advise if the NSW AROCA supersprint forms are still valid on the NSW home page. I'm looking at resurrecting an Alfetta GTV with a fellow Alfa nut and thought we'd start our motor sport domination in the supersprints. Forms are dated to 2009 or so and I just want to make sure the car meets entry requirements and to get a race number allocated, hopefully for the 2013 season.

Hi John we'll have a look at the notes that were posted to check all is still ok ... pretty sure there won't be any issues etc
You might like to also marry the requirements with the VRA Regs so you don't do any mods that may render the car non compliant with their rules should you take the car to full race meetings

There is a Drive day at Wakefield on the 8th and there will be heaps of people that will be available to have a chat with - other than an appropriate licence eg AASA but suggest you get cams L2S which will be more useful ie super sprints at eastern creek as AASA is not valid at that track - you can have a great day driving the car and blowing the cobwebs off !!

Happy to have a chat on the phone if u wish ... hope the above helps in the interim ... Richard

Thanks Richard, we were looking at the L2S as a minimum. Just want to make sure the submission details, emails, etc are still current on the forms. More to the point I want to make sure I don't over do it with the car for the supersprints. The car needs some TLC and thought that while we had certain components out and open to check condition, may aswell tweek it if budget and rules permit. First overhaul will be to get the Alfetta legal for conditional rego and sturdy enough to not leave us stranded at the track, so I'm taking notes of opinions and posts here on the forum  ::)

May end up giving you a buzz eventually as it is. Hey do I get any club points for recruiting a new AROCA member  ;D I've got my track buddy joining up this year.

Back again ... Good news  :) on the Clubmanship Points allocation ... when a member introduces a 'new member' the member will receive 20 points towards their Clubmanship tally. One small condition  :-\   ... the members name must be on the submitted 'Membership application'.

Supersprint Regulation update still to come.
