Hello all,
Fairly new into the Alfa scene as I've always wanted one for the past 15yrs and thought of the perfect opportunity to purchase one before kids came along.
Purchased and transferred from Taz to Melb today with all my excitement I finally had the pleasure of driving this baby, she purrs and sings,
Body is very straight, interior is in great condition but needs some touch ups, as it will be a long term project,
Only thing in querying about is the steel bumper on the front, haven't seen it before, obviously must come from another model, I would try and find a Zender kit (as most of you are aswell) and replace it, but it's sort of growing on me aswell,

Never seen anything like that!
Looks pretty smooth though, I'd think it would suit better painted black or grey to match the spoiler. Maybe

SteveGTV6

Yeh I was thinking the same thing, either spraying it black, I'll ask the original owner if he knows anything it has got me baffled considering the previous model had a different steel bumper

Sorry but that needs to be rectified ASAP.

I've got several spare front bumpers, if only you lived in sunny QLD :D

Ditto, get it off!!!!!  What was the person thinking of?

SteveGTV6

Yeh I saw it again today, and it's a shocking bumper,  @brook308 if I can't source one I'll let you know, nothing that a courier couldn't do,

I don't quite know what the original owner was thinking. You need to sort this as soon as possible.Your car won't be happy until you do. :o

Bumper bar is off some other make of car, looks alright, better than nothing, previous owner probably put it on because he couldn't source another GTV6 bumper easily or as a quick fix

GTV6 will look much better with a Zender kit or my favourite a Grand Prix kit, just use it till you can source one of the kits

Your GTV6 looks fantastic, whatever bumper you have on won't affect the fantastic drive the GTV6 puts out  :)

I asked the previous owner and saysits an original alfetta bumper, to be honest as I have a closer look the the bumper has not been modified in any way and the mounting points fit precise, it's really weird, personally I don't like it makes the beast 10 yrs older, if I can find a Grand Prix front on it, that would be sweet, even if I have to ship it across from the other side of the world, anyone know of someone who makes them?

It's not an Alfetta bumper - I thought it looked a bit like a Fiat 124 CC bumper

SteveGTV6

It does, but from memory of my brothers ex 124cc was a 3 piece bumper, I'm going to take it off and search for part numbers cause it's doing my head in

99.7% sure it's not off any Alfa Romeo. Not to my taste at all, but each to their own.
