John,

Good point. The last few years the Saturday program has had Group S practice at about 9- 9.30am , then not much Alfa activity until after Lunch. Last year i rang VHRR and there was some link on their home page for the program. But as you said nothing there this year

Does anyone know if a programme of races has been issued either on the web or as an attachment to competitors?  The VHRR site is no help at all.  I am going to go for one day, probably Saturday, but may be able to change that if the F5000s (and of course the Alfas) are only running on the Sunday.

I have the programme at home, I will bring in tommorow and scan it.

I bought in the paperwork, problem is I picked up the entry form not the programme.  I will try again tomorrow!!

Thanks Phil for posting this.  I'm going to head down on Saturday with my 15 and 4 yr olds.  With the programme repeating twice during the day we will be able to see everything even if we aren't there for the whole day. I haven't been before and so am really looking forward to it.

Thanks also for that Phil. I will be going down as well. Interesting that this is the 80th anniversary meet & they will be running a demo of 80 cars around the original circuit. I was there for the 50th anniversary and I  still have the programme. In it is an advert for the "new" alfa range including the GTV. Now these cars are in the event! TAt the 50th anniversary circuit demonstration, cars included were a 1928 Alfa Romeo (Model not given) and 1932 8c, both of which were previously entered in Australian GP's, as well as a 1930 & a 1932 Alfa Romeo 1750. There were a total of 267 pre-war cars entered in that days demonstration! Cheers, Craig

Scott is right about the Giddings P3. A thing of beauty. But the sound it made on the main staight at PI .I'm still tingling thinking about it a day later. The only thing that's 80 years old and sounds that good is BB King & Muddy Waters.

So here's what all the fuss was about. A pretty special machine....

Sorry for the bad photo of the interior and pardon my ignorance, but could someone tell me what is happening on the floor just in front of the driver's seat.

It's a split driveshaft.

And the Grp S car is going to Sydney...I'll let the new owner make the announcement...
