Hi Guys

Just got a "new" 75, went in for a check up and came back with: Leaking Power steering rack, rear engine mount cracked, and rear donut cracked.

Any ideas on whether these are super major jobs or just a pain in the a$%^ that take time.

Does the engine need to come out for the mount change, or can it be chocked and slipped in/out.

Any advice  would be great. May do a couple of these jobs but just depends.

CAtch ya

Hey Shane, if that's all you're a lucky man. I think it's mandatory for all 75s to have a leaky rack, I've had to replace the high pressure hose but the rack itself still leaks but not too bad.Not sure about the engine mount, you might get enough movement in the drivetrain to do as you have suggested, somebody else to advise here....As for the do-nut, you should take a good look at the clutch and the other do-nuts as this is a good time to do it all with the half shaft out. if you take the entire prop shaft out you might be able to do the engine mount too... lotsa work lotsa fun.....another Alfa moment.

Thanks Mate

Had an update today. New engine mounts, gearbox mounts, discs front and rear, donuts, and power steering boots.

Also some work on gear shift, exhaust and some front steering bushes.

The good thing is that after all that I should have a great car :-) I have a mate with a lift etc who is going to give me a hand. I will take a day off work and hopefully we will get it all done in one day.

Catch ya
