Phil: Ditto to Evan's reply! As Bill says, what goes rounds comes round. Chin up and we'll see you at the Club nite.

Hi Phil, sorry to hear about your battered and bruised Alfetta. Hopefully its not too bad and can be quickly (and cheaply) fixed. Don't know why, but of the four times that I have received panel damage three of those have involved Datsuns - 240Z and 2000 Sports. Admittely one of these was my fault, but the other two ... Maybe its because, like Alfettas, Zs are cheap to buy and fix. Plus also like Alfettas they seem to be multiplying rapidly on the Group S grids...

Thanks for the support folks. I should try and concentrate on the positives from the weekend (ie. Saturday!) to qualify 12th at Sandown (where the 2 litres should have been nowhere) with that field full of Porsches, Corvette's, and Pantera's was a real buzz, far outweighing my expectations. Some great racing too with Steve Schuler in the Corvette, Geoff Pike in the MG, and Don McKay in his Datsun (different car to the other one!).....a lot of fun! No photos of the car, I couldn’t bring myself to take photos just yet....to upset Edward, please pass on my thanks to your Dad, he was a lot of help immediately after when I returned to the paddock, and I probably seemed a bit dismissive of his support, but it didn’t go unnoticed and it was appreciated.

Phil, I think you are now thinking the right way - you did a pretty bloody good job on the weekend, good times in a very fast field - although panel damage hurts and shouldn't be a part of this gentleman's category it does happen when racing.
Please tell me you'll make Bathurst.....

Bad luck Phil, I didn't join Group S for rubbing racing It's bad enough with 'accidents' like the one I had at Winton Hopefully you will get the car back better than before and in no time. Hung.

I would like to say thanks for all the support and help during the weekend from all including Laurie, Justin, Ian, Phil, Graeme (who travelled down from Sydney), Marie, Elisha (my better half) and of course Anthony and Vin.
If it were not for you guys the silverware would not have gone to the Marque we like the best!
