Can anyone recommend a good operator please.

ok found someone in Sydney (carlton) - they have a good website with a 1750 dash restore picture. My dash is heading there this weekend, get the wallet ready though - prices start at $650 http://www.consoles.com.au/dashboard.htmAdrian

Update to this is that the people in Carlton have now sold their dashboard skinning business to Pro-Stitch in West St Carlton (02) 9547 3424
Prices basically depend on labour required to prep the dash. For a dash with all the usual issues i would expect to pay ~$1.5-2K

Hey gents If your still interested, I knew I had this knocking around from the World BB. Check out this link on re doing a dash. http://gtam.silvahalo.com/dashrepair/All the products look unfamiliar but they are described in their function and you could find replacements. I certainly dont have 1.5 - 2 k for a dash. One day when I get a chance I might give it a go. Cheers

Apparently those exact products are a bit hard to find in Australia. I was very temped to give it a go as the results do look good, my only concern was If it doesn’t work or cracks after time is it possible to get it re-skinned once you’ve covered the dash in all that other crap?

1.5 to 2k. Jesus! You're restoration is going to be five figures in no time if you accept prices like that! I know of two people whove got their 105 dash reskinned at this place in melbourne http://www.dashboarddoctor.com.au/one had it freighted to and from sydney and the other is a vic local. One paid 400 and the other 495. I can't find the pics at the moment but the final product was fantastic and the same texture as factory.

Harry at The Dashboard centre in Croydon has done all mine and he does a fantactic job. He needs to see it to price it as it can depend on the starting condition, $300-600 seems to be the go. 03-97257955 www.dashboardcentre.com.auPace Engineering has a source for a fibreglass fact similarly, that then requires painting with a crincle paint. So for a lighter alternative talk to Vin.

My Berlina had it's done at Coburg Dashboard doctor and it was a pretty good job - especially considering the 1750 Berlina's twin lump dash top which can be a right pain in the arse to ge t right.
