I have submitted proposal for the comp changes to the club committee.
This is what I proposed:

1)   Change the wording of competition rules and rename classes into categories and subclasses into classes. This would be more consistent with generally accepted terminology used by CAMS and FIA.

2)   Introduce the rule that any class in any category cannot be contested unless there are at lest 2 competitors. No trophies should be awarded if there is no competition. For point scoring purposes, anyone applying for an uncontested category should automatically be allocated into next contested category/class up.

3)   To rectify the disparity in AROCA Vic class splits by making the above table fully populated, that is, introducing additional <1300cc and <1600cc classes in all competition categories.
           Class----< 1300cc---<1600cc--<2000cc-->2000cc
Category
Standard--------------Yes--------Yes--------Yes--------Yes
Base modified-------Yes--------Yes--------Yes--------Yes
Super modified-----Yes--------Yes--------Yes--------Yes
Racing-----------------Yes--------Yes--------Yes--------Yes
Associate-------------Yes--------Yes--------Yes--------Yes

Since then I spoke with few people and i heard a suggestion to reduce number of classes to Standard, Modified and Racing. This does make sense to me.

Any other opinions on the proposed changes?
