Congratulations Edward. I got home from the Rock yesterday and jumped on the computer to find that you had "the Peril" for Sale?? Then I checked my eBay and saw what you'd picked up!
I had it on watch myself, but missed its re-listing. It could have been a 3-way battle for it it appears!. (May well still be on the track!). Hope it is a good thing for you. Cheers, Craig.

An ex Targa Tassie 77 GTV - allwork done for Sc - motor, brakes, suspension, lightening, exhaust, rollcage.  just needs a coat of paint and a polish and to replace the 16" rims selling them and probably the Terra trip computer as well.  will probably swap out the steering wheel over for a more period version but that is it.

will put it on H plates and will run this now @ P.I. instead of the "Yelllow Peril" which is now for sale.

Thanks Craig. It was a popular car in the end and i am confident this is the car for me.  Now i need to sell the yellow one quickly and of course Colin G's is for sale which is a great car.
Good luck in your search, decision as to which car to go for.
Great talking to you yesterday @ the Rock.

You do realise that alloy rollcage without a current logbook is not allowed. As far as I understand CAMS will not issue new logbook for a car with an alloy rollcage.

What is it logged as?  Not sure what they may do with the cage if converting from say Group 2 to Group S?  If it already Group S then no problem.  Good get.  Wondered who might pick it up.  Good to see it going to a good home.  Now we need someone to pick up the Yellow peril!

Allow me to clarify...

The has been issued a log book by CAMS in 1998.  However the current actual book itself has been missplaced by the previous owner. Shocked
BUT a replacement log book is being produced by CAMS as we speak which i have requested in time for the P.I. historic event which i expect to be confirmed tomorrow.  Failing that, the cage can be removed in 30 minutes if one removes the 2 x front seats. Tongue

i love the look of this cage so am very keen to keep it as a going concern.

I havent confirmed what class the book is for but i do suspect 2B.  But after P.I. i will look into upgrading the cage and re-log booking it as a Group Sc car. Smiley

Still a damn cheap, fully prepped car which i am hanging out to get behind the wheel of which will hopefully be this Friday Grin
