Hi all,
I am seeking a speedo. drive gear or the complete assembly for an Alfasud due to mine being broken.   If anyone has ever tried to get one out of a gearbox after it's been sitting for a whie or from out of your car when grit and muck has jammed it will know, it's NOT a good nor easy job.    Mine was broken after trying to remove the drive flange/bearing assembly and found bits of plastic gear inside, ok,... no problem, just use the spare one from the 'ol '77 gewarbox!  Ater trying to drift it up and out it did come out, minus the plastic gear!  Hmmmm,.... bugger,... righto, just carefully drift out the spare one from a good gearbox.  Yep, same deal Shocked     Now the only other one I can think of has been crushed and I've run out of places to look.    Does anyone have one removed from a 'sud or a later Sprint?  If so can you carefully remove it if it's still in the 'box and let me know your price or p.m. me, I would be very grateful to have my speedo going again as the Huffy push bike job I've got presently only goes up to 100 K's, bit hard to see in the dark too Grin   Thank you.
   Cheers,... Col.

Hmmmm,... no-one?  Come on, there must be at least ONE speedo driven gear in captivity! Please?
Oh well, anyway, now I've worked out what has happened to my replacement gear.  When I replaced the speedometer drive assembly in the Alfa 33 1.7 ie gearbox I forgot to take out the chopper toothed piece for the original electronic sensor and it would appear that it doesn't like the helical gear for an Alfasud, something to do with compatability  Grin
Please, if someone can help me out it would be appreciated.
  Cheers,... Col.
