So given that AROCA Vic has been at Sandown the last two Bathursts, what is everyone doing on Sunday?

Me, I plan on spending the day at home in front of the telly from the beginning of the broadcast until the end....with the occasional trip to the fridge Cool

This is an annual Religious rites festival for me that commenced with my initiation by my Father some 35 years ago and that includes abidance to very specific religious doctrine -

- Prepare for religious festival by making initial spiritual connection withe V8 gods prior to the Sabbath (watch "King of the Mountain" Sat arvo)

- On the Sabbath, take up ceremonial cushion in front of altar (sit on sofa in front of TV) and commence spritiual connection to the V8 Gods (turn on TV) as soon as the spiritual link has been established (when telecast starts at 0700 Eastern time, even if there is nothing on and the race doesnt start for another 3 hours and being in WA and not yet on daylight savings - means 0400 wake-up).

- wear only certified ceremonial garments - (Craig Lowndes signed Triple 8 racing cap & Will Davison ("I will, will you") sponsors polo shirt and therefore possibly naked from the waist down).

- drink brewed concoction only from special ceremonial ceramic Chalice (coffee in 80's Mobil-1 coffee mug).

- Eat only seafood for midday sacrficial meal - (sardines on toast).

- Supplement meagre midday meal with special liquid plant blend placed in ceremonial coverlet (beer in Triple8 racing team stubby holder) and eat plenty of fruit (large packet of Skittles).

- No purging or cleansing or vacating altar (TV) until ceremony is complete (dont leave the couch until the tv feed has been cut which means no shower and no dunny breaks) from 0400 til 1500.

So, yeah, i will be watching.

agh damn it all guys I recall the glory days when it was more than a 2 horse race !!  For me, bring back the days when there were the variety of classes and samson took on goliath, that is when an Italian car, German car or even Pommie car could take on the might of Aussie (read yank) muscle cars and win.  I wish.  oh well s'upose it will be the usual crapadore vrs chook !!

I know and understand though what Edward means re a religious rites festival. However, just dreamin (reminicing) of the days when GTV6s, or 1750s, BMWs, Jags took on the usual suspects.  Dave

delayed telecast over here so literally watched it 1 minute ago (TV on at work Tongue)

Incredible impact,  thought it was going to be a lot worse but apparently news is good although he (Paul Weel) has been flown to Westmead Hospital for precautionary reasons only

Must admit I find it a little bit tedious these days unfortunately.

This one here:-  http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=XMhj22QLH1Y&feature=related
I could easily watch for another 6 hours.

Especially if they're gonna continue with that commentary.  "Dick tries to blow him off".  We'll never hear that again.

Time to get excited again Sheldon.  Kiwi's now have the 2 fastest lap times ever with Jason Richards almost matching Murph's from 03.

Go get some Skittles to have with your beer tomorrow
