Anyone who has or wants to buy a 156/147 or similar twin spark, check out the article in latest Edition No.145 of Auto Italia.  It clearly deals with the cambelt and tensioner issues, variator & crankshaft wear, knocking, running car with lack of oil, the consequences therof and expected repairs.

This knowledge is priceless - but in reality can be measure in $ terms for a car not propertly maintained. I regard this info of great assistance to anyone owning a car or wanting to buy a car.

Quote from A.I. ".. owning a Twin Spark powered car need not be a lottery..".

Cheers.
