Hi all,

Could someone please help with recommendations for local panel suppliers?
Burwood Panelworks are ready to start the repairs to my 105 but are struggling with a lack of response from the supplier they are trying to source parts from.  I wont mention who, as they are a club sponsor.
I have provided details for the usual UK sources but need a reliable local option, providing quality replacement panels.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Cheers,

Marco.

Hi Marco

Which panels are you after? I assume you are referring to the rear ones (LHS guard, rear valance and bootlid as a result of the shunt you had, if I recall correctly ??  The only local people I am aware of are as I recall both club sponsors, and both located in Melbourne.  I was similarly thinking of checking them out for a boot lid and doors as mine are all rusty and probably beyond repair.

If you are not having any luck with these I seriously would consider using the UK as your best option.  These obviously include Classic Alfa, Alfaholics, Highwood and EB spares.  From my experience so far, having made a comparison with many of the parts I need for my Super and GTV, I have found Classic Alfa (Richard Norris) to be slightly cheaper than the other suppliers.  Parts from the UK seem only to take about 1 week to arrive.  Good luck with the hunt for parts.  Cheers Dave

Thanks John and David,
The supplier contacted Burwood Panelworks this morning.  The order has been placed, so things seem back on track.
Cheers,
Marco.

Tim,
Burwood panels were just piecing together Marco's 105 (in a very fine fashion), there don't have 105 panels hanging about. Marco's post was just saying Burwood panels were contacting a third party to source the required panels and there was a little delay. Correct me if I'm wrong Marco.
Check our sponsors page, some of those chaps may be able to assist you.
