Looking for a GTA-style grille centre (eg Giulia Super, GTV1750, etc). In other words something that reasonably resembles the original GTA grille centre. Would consider swap/trade for my reasonably good condition (two small cracks, but no pittting or rust) grille centre from step nose Series 1 GT 1300 Junior.

Hi njh1964

I am happy to ask around my mates to see if anyone has a spare grill.  The best alternative suggestions I can come up with are to either try Marc or Mario at Milano Spares (Thomas Town, Melbourne see the sponsors page for details) for a 2nd hand grill or if you could afford it you could buy an exact GTA replica shield and the side grills.  The grills are available from both Classic Alfa and Alfaholics in the UK.  I checked the price from Classic Alfa:  $387.62 AUD plus postage will buy you both the main LHS/RHS grills, and the lower grills for the two cut outs that the GTA has (below the Alfa centre heart).  A new heart for a 1750 GTV costs $277 AUD plus postage.  Both Classic Alfa and Alfaholics have websites.  I have dealt with Classic Alfa (Richard Norris) and he is easy to deal with.

Hope this helps a little.  Cheers Dave

What you need is the one-piece s/steel Guilia Super grille heart. This is the closest thing to a GTA one as they are made from the same pressing. Sorry I don't have one myself, but this might help you to track down what you want at a reasonable cost.
Cheers,
Vin.

Hi Vin & Dave,

Thanks for the feedback. I have seen a number of new GTA-style grille suppliers on the Web, but I'm not so keen on the prices I've seen to date. Also, I'd prefer to buy locally, if possible.

Dave, please do let me know if any of your mates come good with a suitable grille.

Thanks again,

Nick

Hi Nick, yes knw what you mean re new prices.  Will get back to you, once I have had a chance to follow this up. Ebay could also be a good option.  I have found a lot of hard to find parts 2nd hand there.  My mobile is 0419 565 786 Cheers Dave

Hi All,

Thanks for the above feedback, I ended up getting a grille centre on eBay from Italy. Fifty Euros, but brand new and good quality.

Regards,

Nick
